About Me

My passion for storytelling is tied to my curious disposition. I love getting to know people and learn about what matters most to them.

I hope to use my skills and career to elevate under-represented voices and under-told stories and potentially work with brands that are interested in using their products and platforms to spread good in the world.

My favorite moments are when people I interview tell me “no one has ever asked me that before” or send me emails after a story has been published, telling me how much they appreciate their story being told the way I was able to.

My mom likes to tell the story of my college photography lighting class, when we were instructed to photograph a pear in found light; I took my pear out onto a street at night in the rain and captured it under the glow of the changing traffic signal. (I did win the best portfolio award at the end of the semester!)

When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring new cities, cooking 12+ step recipes from cultures around the world, watching documentaries and re-runs of Parks and Recreation, and keeping up with my friends scattered around the country. My favorite show is This is Life with Lisa Ling but I can also talk Bravo with anyone who’s interested. My favorite foods are Korean fried chicken and tacos al pastor and I love a cold hefeweizen, ideally from a local brewery.
